A stainless water-wash extractor that pulls sugars, phospholipids, and pigments out of crude before they char in your still.
Ethanol extraction does not only pull cannabinoids. Sugars, phospholipids, and pigments come along with them, and none of that survives a hot boiler gracefully. Under vacuum and heat these water-soluble compounds char and foul the apparatus — darkening the distillate, cutting the interval between cleanings, and dragging colour into every fraction downstream.
A liquid-liquid wash removes them before the still ever sees them. Oil and water are stirred to an emulsion, the water-soluble fraction partitions into the aqueous phase, and the phases are separated and drained.
Stainless throughout with no glass in the wetted path, so a production wash is not a breakage risk.
